Planning

The Eurobodalla Skaters were formed by Paul Glover and some friends early 1994 and first approached Council in March 1994 to assist in funding and finding a suitable site. Council advised them to liaise with the Gundary Management Committee.

The Committee endorsed the concept and allocated a site at the northern end of the Gundary Reserve near the Moruya Bowling Club car park, which will provide a large buffer to the existing residential development.

The estimated cost of the project is $20 000 for materials only.

The committee the submitted a request for assistance to Council and received $7500 from Section 94 contributions for Neighbourhood Recreation.

The Eurobodalla Skaters have raised approximately $1300 including a $500 donation from the Moruya Market Committee and $100 from Moruya Apex Club.

Plans were submitted to Council in March, the Development Application was approved early May, and the Building Application followed on 24th May.

Structural Design input has been received from Mr Len Ryan of Geoff Metzler & Associates Consulting Engineers.
